UGH!!!!! The hubs and I went with some friends to see Coraline at the movies. We unknowingly sat in front of some high school kids. Our first clue of what was to be a constant annoyance was some girls who were talking all through the previews. No, they weren't whispering and trying to be polite, they were talking FULL VOLUME.
I thought they would stop once the movie began. Was I ever wrong. They continued to make their STUPID, USELESS comments. I finally turned around and shushed them. Did that work?!? OH NO!! My friend turned around and had to tell them to be quiet. THAT finally worked.
I thought the ordeal was over.
Then these other kids started making stupid comments for the rest of the movie. WHY didn't I say anything you ask? They were a little to far away and I would have had to scream at them.
ANYWAY... Needless to say, I was irritated and found it very hard to really enjoy the movie.
I would have flashed them my angry look
(see above..) but it would have been too much for them to handle.
Has this happened to anyone else? What did you do about it?

It depends on the theater, but often, if you tell an employee, they will warn them or ask them to leave. My issue is with cell phone people. People who text in the piptch black, etc. Someone once threw napkin balls at a woman who kept doing that. She stopped.
Cell phones, crying babies and noisy commenting thru a movie are the worst ! I uaually suffer thru it...
That's why my Hubs and I rarely go out to a movie...we often either watch something on a DVD, VHS or TiVo and we watch in our P.J.s ! I miss drive ins too !
I don't go to the movies much, so I would have been especially furious if this happened and ruined my movie going experience. I would have asked for my money back at the end of the show.
How was the movie itself? Any good?
Luv the angry face :) We usually sit in the farthest back seats, I don't know if that helps but I don't usually notice to much talking. Once we had a female couple sit right in front of us and make out the whole movie, gag gag gag, I would take obnoxious teens over that any day. :)
The movie itself was really cute. I would think twice about taking little kids to it only because it was a little scary and it had a scene where this really busty woman was wearing nothing but a g-string and pasties!!
Buy those BIG gumballs and chuck them at them.
People are loosing all sense of etiquette and teens are especially bad it seems...No one should have to have their evening ruined because of such lack of respect and politeness......Now you got my blood boiling,
