Happy 4th of July!

I thought I would put our National Anthem and the chorus to God Bless the USA on this post. These two songs really make me emotional. I love this country. It's not perfect, but it's home.

Please remember that this is the Land of the Free because of the Brave.

Have safe and happy 4th of July.

The Star Spangled Banner

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Chorus to God Bless the USA

And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

Last Night, I Didn't Get to Sleep at All

Well, we did it. We finally have ALL of our adoption paperwork in. {{whew!!}}

We are now waiting for our background checks (I think I covered up most of my past pretty well!) and as soon as those come back, our home study will be scheduled. From there... we wait...and wait... and wait to be chosen. But, if things go as quickly for us as they did for 2 other couples in our ward, we will have a baby within a year.

AAAACK!!!!! I am kind of freaking out. So much so, that I have not been sleeping well. At. All. I am exhausted during the day, and then when I should be tired at night, I can't sleep!

I have been trying to have kids for almost 18 years of my life. What am I going to do once I have one? I feel like Capt. Ahab going after my whale. This race will be won, this mountain will be conquered, this fight will be over soon. I have been at it so long I can't see past this.

What happens next?
