Free for Another Year!!

We just did our taxes last night and thankfully it wasn't too painful. We owed, but not as much as last year.

Thank goodness for our mortgage and TITHING!!!! It totally saved us from owning a bunch of money!!!!

Since we don't have children (the IRS frowns on claiming cats as dependents) we don't get those tax breaks. Could you even imagine the deductions the Duggar's get?!?!? 18 kids! They must look forward to tax time.

I completely feel your pain. We owe this year as well. We got money back last year, so it was a bit of a shock.

Haha - So your mortgage and your tithing saved you from *OWNING* a bunch of money? Freudian slip?!? :)

I totally did not even catch that until you pointed it out!!!!! HAHAHHAHHAHAHAHA You are correct, maybe it was a Freudian slip!

WE ALWAYS HAVE TO PAY---We have nothing deductible anymore. Our house is almost paid for so we get nothing on that, and no kids, no stocks.......Nada. The government OWNS me.

We haven't had to pay for years because we have the best CPA on earth and we itemize down to the nubs...so far so good but with the new leaders in Washington, it will be worse next year !

I don't care how much they can deduct. It can't possibly make it worth while.

Good for you for doing your Patriotic Duty ;-)!!

LOL at claiming your cats :p

Great blog! I just wanted to pop in and say Welcome to SITS! I love that cartoon pic. Thankfully this year we are getting a nice chunk o' change back! We now have three kids so that contributed to a lot of our refund, lol!

We always end up having to pay, so I'm not looking forward to filing that return AT ALL.

Dropping by to welcome you to SITS - hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!
