FINALLY, Some Relief!!

As many of you know, by past posts, I have REALLY bad allergies. (I am allergic to the 2 most common plants in my state, which, ironically grow EVERYWHERE!!!!)

About every 3 -4 months, I get sick and it turns into bronchitis. I have literally lived the past 2 years of my life on antibiotics and the last 10 years with a dry, hacking, awful sounding, face reddening, gag inducing, dog bark of a cough!

I am happy to report that for the past 3 months, I have been in health heaven. I have my wonderful allergist to thank for it. I am finally in the groove with the allergy meds I need to take to tame the beasties, so my immune system has a chance to actually do its job.

I now take:

Zyrtec (an over-the-counter allergy pill), 2 prescription nasal sprays, allergy eye drops and I get immunotherapy shots 2x per week.

Yes, it's a lot, but SO worth it not to be sick.

My hubby was diagnosed with chronic hives and he takes Zyrtec, it's pricey but it's the only thing that helps. I'm glad you have gotten the allergies under control, that is no fun.

I am challenging you to match me with walking miles, I am trying to get in at least 1 mile each day.
It's amazing how much better I feel on the days when I walk. If you do Facebook we can "meet" up that way to compare and motivate each other if you would like :)

Oh, Tammy, I am so happy your have found the right combo of meds/treatments for your allergies and a great DR.!

My only problem is pollen and it's seasonal, in the spring, when our town is covered in yellow pollen. Over the counter and keeping myself inside as much as possible until we have a couple of good rains to wash it all away is all I have had to do so far, so I feel very lucky !!!
