I am contemplating the purchase of a bread machine.
I would like to know the following:
1. Do you have a bread machine
2. What brand is it
3. Do you like it
4. What do you like/dislike about it
5. Would you buy it again?
Thanks for your input!

So, when I was in high school, we had a bread machine. And I couldn't even make a loaf of bread properly, using that. I suck.
I have one and love it ! It is a Cuisinart and I mostly use it to make dough (on the dough setting )...I prefer to bake bread in the oven and it always comes out great. I would buy a bread machine again...this is my second one. I bought a cheaper one that I burned out in 5 years of use. The one I have now I paid over $100.00 for, worth every cent ! ( double what I paid for the last one )
i do not have a bread machine on purpose... oh my! The carbs I would consume! heehee!
I'm really late, but we have a bread machine. It's a Breadman. It was pretty inexpenive - I think $60 on sale at Macy's. I really like it. It takes a little practice, but the bread always comes out just right. And really, who can resist the smell of fresh bread??
We once were gifted a cheap bread machine. It died soon thereafter.
But we have friends that paid a fair price. And their one works...and works...and works. Whenever we visit they have cinnamon rolls, buns, or a seeded loaf in the oven. It kills me.
The rub of what I'm trying to say: I think if you get a good brand (with a warranty), what's not to love?
(found ya via MMB...at least I think that's how I got here...who can really be sure?
- A MMB from NZgot here...who can really be sure?)
Oster from Target...we got it as a wedding gift almost 10 years ago....granted it hasn't been used for 10 solid years, but I gave it a run for it's money a few years ago (pre Bosch and wheat grinder). Mine also has a setting for dough and pasta...I have used the dough setting for making yummy pizza crust.
I have heard Blendtec makes a good mixer/ bread maker...I believe it does everything for you, and then you would have a decent mixer to boot. I love my Blendtec Total blender! As your provident living person, I also HIGHLY recommend that you get a bread maker that has a whole wheat setting. It takes a lot longer in a bread machine for it to cook Whole Wheat Bread. Of course you can do a batch of 6 loaves with a bosch and then in your oven in about 2 hours (yes start to finish =) ) That is what I do now and love it...of course I loved my bread machine too, but one loaf began not to cover my family's needs.
I still have my oster if you want to check it out. I keep it around for just in cases and the occasional making of dough...You are more than welcome to try it too. =)
