As many of you know, by past posts, I have REALLY bad allergies. (I am allergic to the 2 most common plants in my state, which, ironically grow EVERYWHERE!!!!)
About every 3 -4 months, I get sick and it turns into bronchitis. I have literally lived the past 2 years of my life on antibiotics and the last 10 years with a dry, hacking, awful sounding, face reddening, gag inducing, dog bark of a cough!
I am happy to report that for the past 3 months, I have been in health heaven. I have my wonderful allergist to thank for it. I am finally in the groove with the allergy meds I need to take to tame the beasties, so my immune system has a chance to actually do its job.
I now take:
Zyrtec (an over-the-counter allergy pill), 2 prescription nasal sprays, allergy eye drops and I get immunotherapy shots 2x per week.
Yes, it's a lot, but SO worth it not to be sick.
